UPS adopts Expo 2020 Dubai livery on 747

Dubai: Logistics firm UPS has adapted the livery of one of its 747 long-haul cargo aircraft to include the Expo 2020 Dubai logo. The firm is Expo 2020 Dubai’s official logistics partner, and will manage all the logistics of the six-month event, using a team of nearly 1,000 employees. UPS International President Jim Barber has been open about the firm’s plans to use its Expo presence to springboard the firm’s expansion into the Middle East market.

Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Ports along with partners will be investing more than Dh10 billion in the expansion of Khalifa port as well create new facilities to boost growth, a top executive of Abu Dhabi Ports said. “We [Abu Dhabi Ports] will commit Dh4 billion in terms of our overall development in the next five years but that’s already started to be spent on this phase of the development. Also our partners will be investing at the same time,” said Ross Thompson, chief commercial and strategy officer of Abu Dhabi Ports during a media briefing recently.
